We review your operation notes and surgical protocol, then assess wound healing, swelling, range of movement and strength as a baseline.
Phase-by-phase rehabilitation that respects healing timescales — from early mobility and swelling control through to progressive strengthening.
Functional and sport-specific goals, from climbing stairs confidently to returning to running, with clear milestones along the way.
“Surgery is only half the treatment. Rehabilitation decides the result.”
Surgery is only half the treatment — the rehabilitation that follows largely determines the result. We work to your surgeon's protocol, respecting the healing timeframes of repaired tissue while making sure you do not lose movement or strength unnecessarily.
Early sessions focus on managing pain and swelling, restoring range of movement and re-activating key muscles. As healing allows, we progressively load the area with strength, balance and functional training tailored to your daily life or sport.
If anything doesn't look right — unusual swelling, signs of infection or symptoms of a clot — we will flag it promptly and liaise with your surgical team.
